The Rangers defeated a short-handed A's squad Saturday at Upper Lions, rediscovering an offense that disappeared in their last game. They quadrupled their entire 2009 home run total in one game with Justin, Nate and Aaron(2) all going yard. Ross added three hits, Matt two and Daniel, Jack and Cooper added singles as well in a balanced attack.
Ross got the start and pitched well through nearly three innings for the win. Nate closed out the third before handing the ball to Daniel for two innings of scoreless relief. Brett closed it out with a well-pitched sixth inning and was solid behind the plate for innings two through five. Jack snared a towering fly to left, Sean made a nifty play at third, and the defense worked through some errors to limit the hard-hitting A's(12 hits total) enough to secure the victory.
The Rangers next host a talented Cubs team Tuesday night at Plaisted.
